Two Scary Things

This is a mosaic floor I saw at a museum in St. Augustine, Florida. Why did I take a photo, you ask? Because I thought it would make a cool knitting pattern for the edges of a cardigan, that's all. I fear I am truly obsessed.

And here's what's even scarier:

My 16 year old son has his driver's permit. Watch out New York drivers! Actually, he's doing pretty well, but I'm still a nervous mom. How did he get so old? How did I get so old?

Oh you're not old. Hockey fans never grow old. So glad to see your team win last night!!! I guess she did loose some weight eh?

Love the pattern - yes, do design a cardigan! Wow, they grow up so quickly. My daughter is turning 4 and I have no idea where the time went.

The second one, slightly terrifying because I'm on the road too. But different coast, thankfully.

The first? Perfectly normal! Whatever made you think it wasn't? That would look great on a cardigan! Those colors too.

I suggest that you make a cardi pattern based on that floor, then take it along with you and knit it whilst your son is doing the driving!

(seriously, I always took my knitting along because it helped me to relax...didn't knit much...but just having it in my hands helped!)ps..my son goes for his drivers test next week...gulp!

I'm dreadding that day, my oldest turns 13 next week. I do the same thing when I'm inspired I even keep a book with graph paper in my purse for jotting down patterns I see.

I'm so glad that my girls will never drive. I'm quite sure my nerves couldn't take it.

LOL! I think you have the knitting bug for sure. As for the driving thing, this too shall pass. :)
